MARFA STATIC explores the subject of television static. It shows one second of static recorded on a black& white TV and one second recorded on a color TV (in Marfa, Texas). One second of television equals 30 frame and so there is a total of 60 frames illustrated in the book. A hand-bound book, MARFA STATIC includes a short essay by the author about static. The book was printed to accompany a series of mono prints featuring the same 60 frames of static made using the process of xerox transfer. >
